This blog will about Foreign Policy, International Relations, Security Studies, and life. I am currently doing research on the evolution of the global Jihad since 9/11, and my main areas of focus in general have been Middle East, COIN, Revolutions, Terrorism, Afghanistan War, and U.S. Foreign Policy. I am not a big fan of politics but from time to time I’m sure I’ll succumb to talking about it. A couple things you should know. First of all, I am new to blogging and still trying to figure all the technical stuff out. I consider myself moderate, leaning a little to the right overall but it depends on the topic. I don’t like boxing myself in but I probably fall closest to a structural realist. I am not an expert on these subjects, I am a senior pursuing my bachelors in political science with a concentration in IR. I read books, journal articles, and follow events closer than most of my peers, but I’m still in the process of educating myself so my views are open to change (and I appreciate any constructive feedback or debate). I decided against using my name so I can tell myself that I can speak frank without what I say coming back to screw me twenty years down the line. My main reasons for starting a blog were having a constant platform to write (in order to improve my writing) and to help me develop my thoughts.
